David Trachtenberg is the founder of the Woodmont Psychiatric Group. In his years of private practice, in addition to seeing patients on an outpatient basis, he has consulted extensively with a variety of governmental agencies and civic organizations.
Dr. Trachtenberg's special interest areas include anxiety disorders, panic attacks, depression, and other mood disorders.
Dr. Trachtenberg received his undergraduate education from Harvard University. He earned his medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine, and his postgraduate training at Duke University and The University of Maryland School of Medicine.
He is a member of the Medical and Chirurgical Faculty of Maryland and the Montgomery County Medical Society. He is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Forensic Examiners.
Dr. Trachtenberg has been consistently listed in the Washingtonian magazine as one of the area's "TOP DOCTORS" in Psychiatry.
